August Each Year

Fireworks festivals involve elaborate displays of starbursts, hearts, flowers and face shapes, and fountains. There are also many festive foods available at stalls lining the streets and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Many people dress up in traditional kimonoor the lighter summertime version, yukata.
